Unique spots for a unique event.

Berlin is a city packed full of historic buildings. We want you to visit exceptional locations and soak up a bit of the past fused with elements from the present. Unique venues, an impressive setup, and excellent partners and participants will ensure our 2019 TSS GROUP annual conference is something truly special. Below are some brief descriptions of the various venues:

Estrel Congress Center Berlin

The Estrel Congress Center is Berlin’s largest and most modern convention centre. With 25,000 sq m of event space, it offers a capacity for several thousand visitors. And its flexible room setups mean it can be perfectly adapted to suit any event size. It is thus the perfect setting for both our private TSS members’ meeting which traditionally opens our conference on the Friday, and the forum and subsequent travel show on the Saturday.

Where to park

If arriving by car, an underground car park with 450 bays is available at the Estrel Hotel itself. The first hour is free, the second hour is EUR 4, and every subsequent hour is charged at EUR 1 per bay. The maximum daily rate is EUR 18.

Getting there

Ideal transport access makes the Estrel Berlin quick and easy to get to – whether by car or public transport. The motorway on-ramp is just 1.5 km away, and SXF airport just 13 km away. The Sonnenallee S-Bahn (suburban railway) station is a three-minute walk away, while a bus stop and taxi rank are located right outside.

Shuttle transfers

Organised transfers to the other venues of the 2019 TSS GROUP annual convention operate to/from the Estrel Hotel Berlin. These will be announced and advised accordingly.

Motorwerk Berlin

The heritage-listed Motorwerk Berlin event venue was built as the factory for the Ziehl-Abegg Elektrizitätsgesellschaft company founded by Emil Ziehl and Eduard Abegg in 1910. It was during this time of technical breakthroughs that Emil Ziehl developed groundbreaking specialised electric motors, which were manufactured at the former 1921 motor production hall until World War II. The present-day Motorwerk Berlin is named after this.

Following German reunification, the Motorwerk Berlin became known for its concerts and events under the name of ‘Die Halle’. Mayday, with the famous techno DJs Westbam, Sven Väth and Marusha, was held here from 1991 to 1993, making the Motorwerk one of the birthplaces of Berlin’s techno scene. The Motorwerk is thus also the ideal venue for our get-together on the Friday evening.

Where to park

There is only limited parking available in the area immediately surrounding the Motorwerk Berlin, so we highly recommend using our free shuttle bus to and from the Estrel Hotel.

Getting there

The Motorwerk Berlin venue is located in Pankow-Weissensee, just 20 minutes from the hip Prenzlauer Berg district, and is just a few minutes’ drive from the city’s central areas. For example, approx. a 25-minute drive from Alexanderplatz and an approx. 35-minute drive from Berlin’s main train station. Should you wish to travel by public transport, you may take bus 156 from the Prenzlauer Allee S-Bahn station to Pasedagplatz (15 min incl. walking), tram M 12 from the Friedrichstrasse S-Bahn station to Pasedagplatz (5-min. walk) or tram M 4 from the Alexanderplatz S-Bahn station.

Stage Bluemax Theatre

Unique architecture, modern interior decor and state-of-the-art technology – the Stage Bluemax Theater Berlin is an impressive and exceptional event venue in the very heart of Berlin. The former 3D cinema was adapted to the needs and look of ‘BLUE MAN GROUP’ in record time. And the perfect location as part of the DaimlerChrysler quarter right on Potsdamer Platz also provides a particularly attractive setting for unforgettable events like the grand finale of our 2019 TSS GROUP annual conference.
